A Summer Wedding at Kilden I Skoven, Dyrehaven

Some weekends feel extra special. This one definitely did.

Christel and Fionnán decided to celebrate their wedding in Denmark, bringing together friends and family who travelled from far away to be with them. The ceremony took place at Kilden i Skoven in Dyrehaven — a peaceful forest just outside Copenhagen, where tall trees and open fields create the most beautiful backdrop for saying “I do.”

The Danish summer did what it does best: a little bit of wind, a little bit of rain, a little bit of sun. And honestly, it was perfect. Guests laughed, hugged, and enjoyed every moment together, no matter the weather. That mix of nature, people, and atmosphere is exactly why Dyrehaven is such a unique place for a wedding.

As a Copenhagen wedding photographer, I love days like this because they remind me that weddings aren’t about chasing perfection. They’re about connection — the joy on people’s faces, the sound of laughter under the trees, and those small moments that just happen on their own.

I’m so grateful I got to be there to document it all for Christel and Fionnán. If you’re dreaming of a wedding surrounded by nature, with a relaxed and intimate feel, Dyrehaven might be exactly what you’re looking for.
